Using hydrosols as Skin Toners
Hydrosols make wonderful, natural face toners. They carry all the benefits of essential oils but are much milder and can be used directly on the skin and most can actually be used on food. Plus, since some essential oils are quite expensive like sandalwood, this is a wonderful, inexpensive way to get the benefits of these oils without the price! Hydrosols are available at most natural suppliers.

Natural homemade Toner recipes
Do we really need a toner? That is an ever lasting debate in the skin care community. Some say yes, some say no. Use your best judgement. One of the reasons using a toner might be a good idea is this... Toners restore the skin’s natural pH balance. The skin has a pH balance of 5.5, while water can have a pH balance as high as 9.5 depending on where you live and on how hard the water is. So toner can have it's benefits to bring your ph level back to normal.
